Tay Roc All-Time Record
I’ve been following battle rap for about 15+ years but there are of course some battles and moments that fall through the cracks. What I’m looking to do is go through as many Tay Roc battles I can to tracks what his alltime record in my opinion is. If I miss one along the way… I’ll get to that mf later I’ll be logging each battle into a spreadsheet where I’ll document what rounds are won, edged, bodied, etc. I’ll be updating this thread as I go so if anyone wants to contribute to the discussion as I update the thread that’d be cool.
Greater discussion on Tiers
Genuinely there needs to be a better breakdown with of TOP/MID/LOW tiers. Of the back of the grouping there will be an ability to create title fights etc. Theres so many lanes BR can explore. But the structure needs to be ALOT more defined.
Rematches in battle rap
Why do we have so many people complaining about rematches. We see these in every combat sport; boxing, ufc, and he’ll even the WWE. Nobody complains when it happens for these things. Roc and Nitty are both at what I deem as their best. Both have been crowned champion of the year winners since their first battle. The first battle didn’t necessarily live up to the height l, but as careers progress I geneuinely believe we should get rematches and even trilogies. What are the genuine valid points against rematches?
Favorite battles so far this year?
Things are slow right now but there are still good battles. Some of my favorites: Oppa vs Hansel Klutz vs Chef Trez Klutz vs Los Premee Ace Amin vs JC Jey the Nitewing vs Homeskool Also Sheed Happens' performance vs Los Premee and Oppa's vs The Saga What else do I gotta watch?

T Boogie vs Eyse Kold
This was T Boogie’s best performance and material so far. The improvement is showing! Eyse Cold is a 10+ year vet that was the complete package and showed the levels. Super dope battle on both sides.

There are a lot of rounds that can hold the title for the GREATEST rounds in battle rap history; Lux 3rd vs Calicoe, Guntitles 2nd vs NWX, B Dot 3rd vs Emerson Kennedy, K Shine 1st vs Aye Verb, Ave 1st vs Chess, Lux 3rd vs Hollow, Daylyt 3rd vs Tay Roc, Geechi Gotti 2nd vs K Shine, or T Top 3rd vs Rum. BUT if we're talking the BEST round in battle rap history, line for line, bar for bar I think I'm taking Rum Nitty's second vs Twork: - Little hawk... Spud Webb rebuttal - "Yall said he was gone beat me to death?... Yall right... This battle isn't good. Snake's first is the only clean round. Snake's second and Danny's third are the best rounds. Snake 2-1
I was looking forward to this battle. They've both been good lately and had a long time to think of material. But Snake's 1st is the only clean round. Snake's first is pretty good and the beginning of his second is great and funny too but he starts to choke maybe halfway through his round and does some mixtape bars and ends it early. His third is ok but less clean. Despite a good start, Danny isn't clean in any of his rounds. His first two rounds material are kind of a mixed bag but below his standards overall i think, but his third is really good and direct. Since neither of them were clean the third I gave that to Danny because I liked his material a lot better. Aside from the material mostly being below par aside from Snake's 2nd and Danny's 3rd, maybe there was too much animosity. On an interview after, Snake said he made danny choke, and I didn't believe him but his defense was extremely effective by just turning away from danny and not looking at him. Also in Snake's first round Danny tried to get water and Snake stopped him. Considering that it feels like we're in the devil's mouth in the south and the Ace Amin vs Chef Trez battle also got fucked up by dehydration, maybe it's a problem with the venue too. I hope Danny bounces back from this. I still want to see him battle lux and mook but more importantly I want him to be able to take a break and battle less. I wish these guys weren't in the habit of writing last minute just because it works 80% of the time. Snake has been good lately. He's stepped up his writing and he's entertaining to watch. He definitely could have been cleaner this battle but I'd still be down to see him on Summer Madness.
